01.10.2012 - "faux" Starbucks

I live in a small town without a Starbucks on ANY corner. I bought this cup and make my own iced coffee - 3 tsp instant coffee, sweet Italian Cream creamer & milk. I actually think it's better than Starbucks... and cheaper! I flipped the pic since it's "faux" Starbucks - LOL!

01.09.2012 - Chance

Chance is persnickety and often thinks he's a cat. Tonight he would not come when called and I finally found him burrowed down under a heaping pile of sheets and blankets in the corner of the laundry room. It took the promise of a 'treat' to get him to poke his head out...once I got the camera!

01.08.2012 - Underwear Ninja

The 4 of us were laying around in Alex's room after lunch and Alex pulled a pair of underwear (yes, clean) onto his head. Then he magically transformed into the "Underwear Ninja" and began karate chopping the air! He's such a crazy kid!

01.07.2012 - Speed Scrap

Every month I cozy up on the couch with a cup of coffee and play along with the Design House Digital Speed Scrap. It's one thing I look forward to every month, and I happily anticipate my personal little "date night" all day long!

01.06.2012 - Diaper Check

The kids love to climb all over Jeff when he's sitting on the couch. I grabbed the camera to take a pic. When he thought he smelled a dirty diaper ("pull~up" as both the kids usually correct me) he flipped Maisie over for a sniff. What a face! Then he told her to come tell me to change it, and she did... aren't I the lucky one?

01.05.2012 - A Field

There are huge fields across the street form my neighborhood.  I was driving by and decided to stop a few minutes. Some years the farmer plants peanuts, but mist of the time it's cotton. Right now it's very green, with rye grass I think. It wasn't harmed by the recent plunges in temperature. I love that there is so much open land here, but I think I do pay a price with all the allergies it gives me - LOL!

01.04.2012 - Bubble Bath

Today's excitement came in the form of a bubble bath! The kids love dumping water on each other and themselves, usually without much fighting - LOL! Maisie can't quite get the cup over her head before the water starts spilling out, but she really loves washing her hair and also Alex's if she can get to him!

01.03.2012 - Tchotchke

One of my co-workers popped into my office today with a little gift~y... a bowl from his trip to Abu Dahbi over Christmas! It's a little hand painted bowl about 3 inches in diameter. I've always been a sucker for such cute little tchotchkes! I love it!

01.02.2012 - Room Cleaning?!?

The kids managed to dump out a ton of toys in Alex's room, so I sent them to clean it up. A few minutes later I peeked in with the camera to find THEM in the toy bucket, instead of the toys! This is Alex's "caught" look as he quickly tried to scramble out.

01.01.2012 - New Year's Day

Every New Year's Day we go to my Meme's cabin for black-eyed peas and greens. Then we just hang out for the afternoon. Here's my mom and Meme starting a game of Candyland - Alex's first board game!
